Since 1952,The Ohio Association for Gifted Children has been working with families and educators to promote the best interest of gifted children. OAGC advances understanding of the needs of the gifted, promotes establishment of programs and services for gifted students, and encourages the exchange of information on the national, state and local level. OAGC is an affiliate organization of the National Association for Gifted Children.
The Illinois Association for Gifted Children is a not-for-profit corporation that was established in 1989 by a small group of educators who wanted to create a voice within Illinois to further the opportunities to better understand the educational and social/emotional needs of gifted individuals. To that end, gifted educators, parents of gifted children, and other individuals continue to support the IAGC mission and related goals. The Illinois Association for Gifted Children is an organization of parents, educators, and others committed to the education and development of children with diverse gifts and talents. We educate, support, and influence those who touch the lives of children and focus our energies to meet the needs of children with gifts and talents in Illinois through: advocacy, standards, and networking. North Carolina Association for the Gifted and Talented, Inc., an organization of teachers, parents, and others who advocate for gifted children. The mission of the Georgia Association for Gifted Children is to advocate for gifted children and youth by working with educators, parents, policy-makers, and the community to meet the needs of the gifted. The Tennessee Association for the Gifted (TAG) is a nonprofit support group of parents, educators, and other concerned citizens united in advocating for appropriate educational opportunities for gifted, creative, and talented youth in Tennessee. AGATE is an independent organization promoting excellence in education, particularly as it relates to gifted and talented children and youth in Arkansas. The Wisconsin Association for Talented and Gifted (WATG) is a non-profit organization of parents, students, educators, business and industry personnel, and other interested persons who are dedicated to fostering a climate in the home, school, and community that allows each individual to reach his or her unique potential Iowa’s association of interested parents, educators, and concerned citizens dedicated to meeting the needs of talented and gifted children and youth. Founded in 1981, GAM seeks to "Expand the Promise" of gifted education in Missouri through advocacy, information, and greater awareness of the unique educational needs of the gifted and talented. Encyclo-Media is Oklahoma's premier educational conference, and is regarded as one of the best educational conferences in the region. The Oklahoma State Department of Education sponsors this exciting two-day conference. Encyclo-Media focuses on the fields of library media, reading, counseling, gifted and talented, and technology. The Pennsylvania Association for Gifted Education is the only organization in Pennsylvania which unites parents, teachers and administrators in the interests of education for gifted children. Founded by parents and teachers in 1974, Mississippi Association for Gifted Children is a non-profit organization that serves as a public advocate for gifted children and youth in the state of Mississippi. The Virginia Association of the Gifted is a statewide organization of parents, educators, and community leaders that advocates appropriate instruction for all gifted learners. Officially organized in 1979, KAGE is a non-profit volunteer group of parents, teachers, administrators, other educators, and all citizens interested in being advocates for appropriate educational opportunities for gifted and talented youth in Kentucky.
