Information Processing

For each visitor to our web site, our web servers automatically recognize the domain name of the visitors access provider, not your specific computer. We collect aggregate information on what pages users access or visit and information volunteered by the user, such as specific requests by users to be added to our mailing list.

The financial information we collect is used for internal review only. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and to ensure the appropriate use of this information, we have put in place measures that are physical, electronic and managerial in nature in order to safeguard and secure the information we collect on-line.

For the record, we will collect the following information: names, e-mail addresses, work phone numbers, home phone numbers, Fax numbers, street address, comments and suggestions concerning the web site, purchase interests, general comments and questions, and survey data to help us determine how people found our site.

The above referenced information is intended for the following uses: processing your order, completing your order, shipping your order, improving our web site, mailing our product catalog, and sending information about our products or services to those who request it.

We pledge not to share this information with other organizations for commercial purposes. Pieces of Learning does not share, rent, or sell its customer list.

Cookies and ShopSite

When a customer first clicks an button to make a purchase, ShopSite sets a cookie to associate the customer with a particular shopping cart.

When a customer enters their shipping and billing information and clicks Submit This Order to complete the order, ShopSite sets another cookie. This cookie contains the billing address (and the shipping address if a separate one is used) that the customer used. It does not contain any credit card information. This cookie is set to expire December 30th of the calendar year following the year the order is placed. If the customer returns to the store from the same computer within this time, ShopSite will detect and read the cookie and the customer will not have to reenter the address information. If cookies are disabled in a customer's browser, this "memory" feature will not be available to that customer.

Pieces of Learning is committed to maintaining complete and accurate information about our customers. If at any time you think any information we have about you may be incorrect, please notify us immediately. Also, all the information we may collect about you on-line is included for your review on our standard invoices. To better protect the security and integrity of your information, these invoices will only be sent to the billing address of your credit card. If any changes are to be made, we will take prompt action to make appropriate corrections.
